Alice In Wonderland Hair Pieces

The following photographs are of some of the hairpieces I created for a Japanese themed Alice in Wonderland photoshoot.  Each of the pieces are made of beads, a deck of cards, ribbons, chopsticks which were all hot glued to an origami shape.
The process took a lot of time, most of it spent cursing at the paper as I tried to get to the cardstock paper fold properly without ripping. My main reasoning for using cardstock paper rather than origami paper was one of convenience and durability, especially since these pieces were going to be pinned into hair and would have to stay there for a couple of hours.
For more information on origami please check out the following link, Origami Resource Center.

Mad March's hair piece made up of a broken silver watch face, playboy bunny key and various tea and cup charms.

The Door Mouses Hair piece. This was the first of the hair pieces and therefore the most difficult to make. The color selection was based off of fabric used for the Door Mouse's kimono. The charms chosen where all heart shaped.

The white rabbit hairpiece is by far one of my projects and is made up of a house of cards, a single antique looking watch face, a key and a few rose shaped brass beads.
